Guandan is a free online card game for the website and the Android and iOS apps ("the game"). By playing it, with or without an account, you agree to these terms.

Who may play

You must be at least 13 years old. If the law where you live requires a parent's permission for someone your age, you need it.

How you behave at the table

The game is played with strangers as well as friends. We have zero tolerance for:

objectionable names: usernames and display names that are obscene, hateful, harassing, sexual or that impersonate somebody else, the game or its staff;
harassment and abuse of other players, including through emotes, names or repeated unwanted invitations;
hate speech or threats of any kind;
cheating: sharing cards or information with another player, playing several seats of one table, using bots or other software to play for you in rated games, deliberately losing or colluding to move ratings, and exploiting bugs;
attacking or overloading the service, or getting around a suspension.

Reporting, blocking and what we do

Every other player at a table has a menu with Report and Block. A report goes to a moderator with the table it came from. Blocking someone hides their name and phrases from you and means the lobby never seats you at a table with them again; you can undo it under Blocked players.

We review reports within 24 hours. Depending on what happened, a moderator may dismiss the report, reset an offending name (it is then shown as "Player" everywhere), or suspend the account or anonymous identity, which then cannot create, join or play at tables or queue. Clear cases of objectionable content or abuse lead to removal without warning. Names are also checked automatically as you type them.

No gambling

The game is played for fun and rating points only. There is no real money, nothing to buy, and nothing of value can be won. Do not use the game to organise betting.

Your account

Keep your password to yourself; you are responsible for what is done with your account. You can delete it at any time at /account/delete or from the account screen in the app. What we store and for how long is in the Privacy Policy.

Changes and availability

We may change the game, these terms or the rules of rated play, and may suspend or end the service. If the terms change in a way that matters, the date above changes and the new terms apply from then on.

No warranty, limited liability

The game is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for any loss of data, ratings or play time, arising out of your use of the game. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
